My name is patrick O'Malley and I'm 20 years old; I'm Irish and i was born in Dublin,Ireland. I emigrated to the Us because my family is very poor and we don't have enough(food)to eat.I decided to leave Ireland to escape social and religious problem/turnoil
-father:Went to the US--->last year
to find a job--->a better life
-mother,brother,sister:come as soon as possible
--->money for the tickets
My father went to the USA last year because he wanted to find a job and to have a better life. My mother,m brother and my sister will join US as soon as possible when they have enough money to pay for the tickets/fares
-Trip to america: by boat
-cork-->New York on HMS"sunlight"
-crossing:2 weets --->terrible(cold,rain,searick,wet,ship)
-crowded,uncomfortable bed
I travelled to America by boat. I sailed across the Atlantic Ocean from cork to NYC on HMS(HIS/HER Majesty's ship)"sunlight"
The crossing took 2 weeks The trip was terrible;the ship was crowded,the bed uncomfortable.It was very cold and wet.I was searick.

Statue of Liberty:1st thing I saw
-->feelings :impressed and happy
-->I cried
When I arrived in NYC harbour there was a big rumble on the ship.The first thing that I saw was the Statue of Liberty welcoming the immigrant to the USA
I was so impressed and happy that I cried
At Ellis Island,the immigration officiers asked me questions about my family and I passes a medical test too.Doctors didn't put a clock mark on my shirt,so I was relieved.Them I changed my money and I was allowed to leave
Finally,I tired to fin a job
